Default AWE Touring conversion kit question

Been away from the forums for sometime. Just bought a 22 Stingray and loving it.
The previous owner had installed a AWE track exhaust. While I love the sound, its just a bit loud for early morning (5am) drives through my neighbor hood going to work. I noticed there is a touring conversion kit offered so I can switch between the two. Has anyone done the conversion here? If so does the rear facsia need to be removed to swap between the kits. I have called AWE but nobody returns my call. I have ordered the kit, just dont know how involved it is to swap out the midpipes.

You'll have to remove the rear bumper to make the swap. It's not hard, just a pile of small bolts and plastic clips. Borla offers very detailed instructions with color pictures that you can use as a guide:

Don't be afraid, the C8 rear clip comes off very easily. The only catch is that you're going to want two people to ensure you don't drop it or scratch anything. Not hard at all.

Thanks for the info, my jack pucs should be in today. I guess I will start this process since we are supposed to get rain the next few days.

I did the track to touring conversion and you don’t need to remove the rear bumper. Just remove the plastic tray from under the rear and you’ll have more than enough room to slip the track pipes out and put the touring resonators in. It took me about 1/2 hour. AWE makes it easy to slide the corner pipes off that the tips mount to from under the car once the plastic tray is out of the way.

That would be great, I was looking at it and thought there may be room. I will try that first, would sure make it alot easier.

Ice9812 was correct, just performed the AWE track to touring swap. Very easy to do, took about a hour. Could probably do it in 45 minutes now that I know everything involved.
