Default FE2 Sway Bar Upgrade

Hello,

Does anyone know if you can upgrade to an FE3/FE4 (Z51 - Part #84808976) sway bar on a car with FE2 suspension (Non-Z51 with MSRC)?

I was curious if it would interfere with the MSRC tuning in any way, but couldn't find any info on it.

Called my dealer and they said that the FE3 bar doesn't show as compatible through the parts portal.

Thanks!

It'd be fine. Sway bars only do significant work during cornering, and Magna Ride shocks seem to be tuned to be overdamped from the factory to mimic stiffer springs anyway. I'd think you'd have no issues whatsoever.

Here's an easy-ish way to install them:

You can, but it won't do much. In fact without a spring change it will make things worse.

In track mode I would agree the shocks are very close to if not >1 critically damped. Most people like an overdampend roll mode. Also most people get too hung up on the feel of the car vs what the tire is actually doing.

Is it the microbouncing I feel in track mode?

Not sure what you mean by "micro bouncing" generally critically damped means it is a single oscillation before returning to the natural ride height. Over critical means it will take until infinity to return to the ride height. This of course is over a very small window of time "a bump in the road". What critically or overly damped will feel like to the driver is what you would consider "harsh" this would most commonly be referred to by the Internet as "crashy"
