I'm more interested in the 5 MPG gain! Maybe it just turns off four of the fuel injectors when you're cruising or changes the MPG on the gauge cluster to read higher.
Keep us updated, call it a myth busters thing, lol.
I’m late to the party but found this interesting and found a related link. This may have been posted elsewhere. It’s an investigation into these so called tuning chips that found the Thorton identically matches other chips that are simply scams from China. Each unit costs the reseller less than $5.00 each. Read and decide for yourself:
I guess this product is similar to the Diablosport Chip back in the days. Just hope it works.
I know this is an old thread, but no, it's nothing like the Diablosport. That actually did something. Not a lot, but it was functional.
The Thornton is a total scam. As for the OP's opinions (not results, since he actually didn't test anything), the Placebo Effect is proven to exist. Spend money on something that you believe will improve performance, and by God you'll "feel" improved performance. Even if that feeling is all in your mind.
I struggle to believe that an actual tuner would fall for this nonsense and turn around and say HP Tuners is garbage lol... I'm not buying that for a second.

Sounds like you’re getting some decent early results, mate. Always good when something actually delivers close to the claims, especially at that price point. And you’re right — even a modest HP gain for a hundred bucks is a win. It’s a bit like affiliate marketing in crypto too — your earnings are properly performance-based, so the more effort and skill you put in, the better the rewards. I’ve been looking at fuzionx.io, seems like a solid option if you’re into that kind of hustle.
