Transmission Oil Filter Cap Leak
Changed the fluid and filter for my transmission yesterday. After closing it all up, I ran the transmission drive and reversed as per the posted recommendation. No apparent leaks. Then went out for a test drive for about 5 miles came back and noticed transmission fluid on the driveway. Of course, a million thoughts went through my head as to the source of the leak, Took the aluminum under panel off and saw the leak from the oil filter cap. Removed it and found that the new blue o-ring was sheared in 2 places. I was very careful installing the new one, applying lubrication and carefully installed the cap. I don't know how this happened, but it did. I used the old ring which was in good shape luckily and installed carefully and tested with no leaks. My point of this post is to see if any of you know the dimensions of this blue o-ring so that I can have some insurance the next time.

Glad it was easily found and fixed. I think I'll save the old o-ring in the future as a just in case. I don't know what the specs are on the o-ring. Durometer and dimensions are obviously important. Hopefully someone has those.
