2021 C8 Tran software update

2021 C8 Tran software update
Took C8 last week. for an oil change at dealership and they informed me that there was a software transmission update. So i had them do it
Picked the car up. and on way home it started surging and engine would sputter. I took it back and they indicated it was a learning curve and should clear out after about 200-500 miles.
Sooo I took her home .
Freaked wife out when it did its surging episodes. BUT today it tried to kill ME!!! I was at a light and the Green Arrow came on I started to turn and she went into a major surging episode and engine died. I had to restart the engine and completed my turn surging and sputtering.
Something is Rotten in Denmark!!!
I'm taking it back in but wanted to see if anyone was aware of this problem

The Update
was for a Transmission Control module reports Incorrect DTC permanent status
CAUSE: 9106074 Per N212350930 Transmission Control Module Reprogramming with SPS

I got the similar recall notice on my 2023
However the service manager is a good friend of mine and he told me "DO NOT do the update"
So I did not--and he told me there will be no ill affects if I leave it as is
Guessing as you say there are issues with the update AND you can't go back LOL
