Hi,
My brand new 2023 70th C8 with only 456 klm is showing a front lift service notice and has stopped working. Checking posts it seems this was a really common issue with the 2023 cars. it appears the hydraulic power pack module (whole pump block and motor) situated centrally under the front trunk malfunctions. Repair is a whole new unit under warranty. I cannot find any reference to these pump units online. Considering how long the C8 has been on sale I find it impossible to source any parts. The reason I ask is I'm trying to assess how long I might have to wait for this part. Reading forum posts from 2023 it seems they were in very short supply. I believe there was also a service bulletin? any information on this issue would be very helpful.
This problem has been reported by other owners, often linked to the hydraulic power pack module located under the front trunk. Failures in this component can trigger the “Service Front Lift” message and disable the system.
GM has addressed this with Technical Service Bulletin #PIC6434, which advises reprogramming the Front Suspension Lifting/Lowering Hydraulic Power Pack Module to the latest calibration.
Thanks for sharing and this is why I decided not to go with the lift on my 23 Z51 and when I purchased my 24 ER!
I would’ve thought the lift would help a lot, with the car being so low, do you scrape often? I’m trying to decide right now if I should have a lift or not on a z06

I had lift on my 2022 SR and now on my 2025 Eray. It's essential to keep from scraping where I live in Southern OH. I would not even consider buying a C8 without it.

Hi, that couple of extra inches in clearance can make all the difference between damaging the splitter and not. I think mine just requires a software update. Goes in on the 14th Jan for a couple of warranty issues. Absolutely choose the lift which I believe also requires the Magnatronic option which is also brilliant. The other issue, my Glovebox won't open. You learn so much as you go along. i.e. right hand drive cars do not have a 14mm nylon hexagon nut you turn to manually open the glovebox. The mechanic did it with a pen! Ordered a new glovebox (not the centre armrest which I believe is quite a common problem). My lift has not stopped working as I first thought. It works once then if I turn off the ignition it will once again work once. A software issue for sure. Big news, I understand the gearbox malady may also just be software. Reconfiguring the ECM seems to be the answer. I certainly hope so. I would not like to imagine how long I would wait in Australia for a replacement gearbox. This thing is a computer on wheels. Just fitted a Soler throttle controller. Jury still out on that one. Need to play with it a bit more. Sport 4 for example seems to hold gears and the revs really high after accelerating too long which I hate. My Mustang in Sport did the same thing. Makes it sound like you don't know how to drive!!

it depends on where you live and vehicle use. Mine is not a daily driver and the roads I travel are decent. My drive is the old 5-6 inch type though. So I pull up next to curb, turn wheel full motion and pull in keeping steering wheel in same position until I am fully on the driveway. Never scape. I do the same wherever necessary when driving.
