I’m going to install a Borla ATAK catback on my C8 this weekend, and the installation guide calls for a number of 3/8 drive extensions. This includes 2 12” extensions, which are relatively harder to get locally. I was wondering if I could do a single 24” (unlikely because it also mentions a universal joint) or an 8” and 10”?

Thanks in advance!
Might work, It is really just to get access to some of the bolts connecting exhaust to header from the back. Removing fender liners helps access these too from the side. Think I used a couple 10" and had no issues.

Thanks, yeah, that's my thought - worst case I can remove the airbox too. Appreciate it.

Just wondering how this worked out for you. I had to use a variety of extensions to get to everything when I took mine out to fix a leak. Did you get the ATAK installed?
I did get it installed. Definitely need 2 feet worth of extensions, but if you take the air filter cover off it’s much easier for 4 of 5 bolts. The other thing is doing this without a power ratchet would be a nightmare - the 10mm attaching the bumper behind the wheel is a new kind of mouse trap!
Exhaust sounds amazing, no CEL, but code reader had faults with the AFM valves. Did the relearn myself and it’s all good!
I have found a tool that helps with the 10mm nut. I can do both sides in seconds and I use a 1/4 inch drive ratchet with a 1/4 inch socket and long extension to drive it. Put a driver bit and 10mm on the other end…
