Has and body purchased an extended warranty from Chevy?
The local dealer (Sands Surprise Az.) told me that Chevy does not sell this and I need to purchase the warranty they sell and is only good at there dealer.
True/ false???

Not true, many dealers sell the Chevrolet Protection Plan which is good at any Chevy dealer. The best price is from forum vendors. Do a search in the C8 General section. Depending on how you use the car waiting until the 3 year bumper to bumper warranty is about to expire is the best way to do it.
I just shopped around and purchased one this past weekend. The two big players around here are Dennis Fichtner and Macmulkin.
I attached the pricing comparison as of last week. These are all the GM Protection "Platinum" plan. I went with the 84/56/250 plan from Macmulkin.
