Default Need Help: U01B0 & U152D Codes After Brake Bleed

I recently disconnected my battery and performed a brake bleed. After reconnecting everything, I now have a check engine light with the following trouble codes:

  • U01B0 - Lost Communication with Battery Monitor Module
  • U152D - Body Control Module LN Bus 9

What I Have Done So Far:

  • Checked battery terminals (initially found the negative terminal loose, now fully tightened).
  • Performed a battery reset (disconnected for 1 hour, then reconnected).
  • Completed the battery recalibration procedure, but the check engine light returned.
  • Scanned for additional codes (only these two appear).
  • Checked charging voltage:
    • Idle after startup: 14.5V
    • After 5 minutes idling: Still 14.5V

Additional Info:

  • On my first attempt, I used the two-man method, but it failed the system test due to air in the lines.
  • I then performed the automated bleed procedure using GDS with my MDI2, and all tests passed successfully.

Concerns:

  1. Could the Battery Monitor Module be causing these issues?
  2. Could the Electronic Brake Control Module still be in service mode?
  3. Is there still air in the system triggering this engine light.
I’d appreciate any feedback or suggestions.

I have now idea if this would work or not but try this. Push the start button for at least 20 seconds without touching the brake. Then, without pushing the start button push the brake pedal hard to the floor. You should hear the system pulsing then stop. See if that clears the system. I’ve heard of folks needing to do this process multiple times (like 10+) before the system got happy.

After putting my car on the dyno it had a code(s). It/they cleared after a few start cycles.

I have updated the description of the codes, i had had them wrong, this is what GDS says:

U01B0 - Lost Communication with Battery Monitor Module

U152D - Body Control Module LN Bus 9

@Mark9 - i tried that initially but it wont clear

I also ordered a new sensor kit, cable, and battery module. I noticed that the sensor connector was slightly damaged, but I’m not sure if that’s the cause of the issue. I’ll keep you updated. Let me know if you have any other ideas.

Any photos of the damage so that others can have an idea what that might look like if they also get the code? Front or Rear?

This is the thin cable that connects to the negative battery sensor module - the inner part broke

Update: My parts arrived today, and I was able to complete the job successfully. I cleared the error codes and ran another scan, and the check engine light is now off. Here are some pictures for reference in case you encounter a similar issue in the future.
Note: I had to perform some soldering using lead-free electronic solder, flux paste, and silicone paste for effective sealing. I also used heat shrink tubing to protect the connections and wrapped the cables in heat insulation with black electrical tape for added durability.
