Default Lowering Collar Problems

I have a 2020 HTC and we installed the lowering collars on the front and adjusted the height on the rear. everything is installed right but I have a noise when I go over a speed hump....sounds like the shocks are lose and moving,,,,anyone have the same problem?

Thanks for reporting this here on our forum. If you are unable to pinpoint the reason for the noise when passing over a speed bump, it is best to have a certified-GM dealership take a look at it. Should you need assistance connecting with a facility near you, you can email us at socialmedia@gm.com and use your Username/Forum Title in the subject line.

Well, not sure how it looks like without a pic, but can you increase preload to see if it helps?

Not sure what noise you would have from that. you can use a jack and lift one wheel at a time and aticulate the shocks and see if anything moves or is loose?

Thats right! Here is a link to a bulletin about that.
https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/20...15636-0001.pdf

It should not void your entire warranty, but it likely will "prevent" the dealer from performing diagnostics and repairs related to any suspension issues.

Besides the bulletin, the Service Manual includes general (and some specific) instructions about checking for any aftermarket components before starting a diagnosis. In the case of the suspension, many procedures start with verification of correct ride height, and may not proceed if the correct ride height is not found. So, lowering collars are a potential showstopper. Some dealers may be more lenient about having a look - but some won't.
