After putting an AP kit on my C8, I was tired of the brake pad sensor warning all the time. I came across a brake pad sensor delete kit from 89x Motorsports, and so far it has worked awesome! It was a simple plug and play kit and the warning light went away. I figured I might share incase any of you were experiencing the same issues.
How low are you letting these pads get? I replace my ferodo ds3.12 pads once it’s lower than the thickness of the backing plate. The lower the pad gets the hotter the fluid gets although I use Castrol SRF it likely never be a concern just not something I’d like to find out.
As an example, I threw out the pads that had about 4-5mm range left. Yea… maybe could have lasted a day at Road Atlanta but I rather spend the evening chilling and not working on the car for day 2.
