Most popular seems to be the Soler Throttle Controller (does the same thing as Pedal Commander). I've had one on my Stingray and now Z06. Absolutely the BEST single cheap mod you can make, period, end of story. Literally changes the character of the car, improving throttle response and drivability. No brainer. I will always have one on my performance cars.
The Banks is more refined - you can look at details on their wed site and the pedal travel vs throttle movement curves are better in my assessment.
Also Banks claims to have some fail-safe mechanism built in to prevent any voltage overload that could cause problems and over/under acceleration.
I bought a Pedal Commander even before I had my 2023 C8 delivered but waited 1,000 miles before installing it, just to get the Corvette broken in first. What a difference it made in my driving enjoyment! No problems with the unit after 12,000 miles.
If I were to do it over I would have probably gone with the Soler unit, as it's cheaper in price and can be disconnected once installed. The Pedal Commander has to stay wired in, and the phone app doesn't play nice with my older smartphone. That doesn't really matter however since I don't change settings, and should I want to it can be done on the unit itself.
A throttle controller, whatever make you choose, is the best mod you can make to the C8 IMO.

Not sure how the Soler, or any other, could provide an over voltage to the ECU. It's not a power source. It doesn't have a generator or battery in it. The pedal in the C8 and other modern cars simply varies the voltage output from the pedal. Devices like the Soler simply change the curve of that output, but can never output MORE than 100% of what the throttle pedal itself provides at full throttle. I can see a failure mode where the device provides 0 voltage output. The car would treat that as a failure of the throttle pedal, I think, but I have no idea exactly what the ECU would do. Probably just go into a limp mode at idle speeds, which would allow you to get off the road, where you could disconnect the unit (if you have a 10mm wrench).
The Banks does appear to be much more configurable (e.g., different curves in different gears, as one example) but I don't have any issues with the curves in the Soler. The Banks seems to be solving a problem that doesn't really need to be solved. At a significantly higher price. And I've yet to see even a single post from someone who's had a Soler fail on therm.
i had a pedal commander in my ATS-V since i didn't want to tune it. co worker has the Soler and i have driven it several times back to back with my car. yes of course it feels different but for me on this car i'll just press the pedal a lil farther. all those things do is change the "ratio" of how much you push the pedal to how much it actually opens the throttle blade. now i am intrested in trying their ported TB. as when i worked at the speed shops we used to port TB's all the time and you can def feel a diff on the transition from idle and tip in from low throttle angle to 1/2 way open or more. ported TB wont make any more peak power but can def change part throttle driving feel.
