Default 2021 C8 Phone connection failed HELP

this past Sunday I was going to dinner and when I tried to start the car it wouldnt stat.
I opened the FRONK and removed the covers and started recharging
Being as it was Sunday I would take it in on Monday
Monday: Got in car and it started on the way there I was unable to call because it said I had no connected phone EVEN tough I could see the phone on the list BUT it was grayed out and I also saw rhe CHECK ENGINE light. I figured they would need to do something at the dealer

I called on Tuesday and they said the Battery was bad and replaced and the Check Engine was because it was time to do the new trans filter and fluid.
Went and picked car up and on way home tried to call wife BUT again no connection. Took car back and they came out and tried to connect with one of their phones and My Chevrolet never showed up on their phone . So they thought thye would do update on the C8 ALAS it didnt work. They now say they need to contact GM to see what to do

Anhbody have this problem??
Thans for an info you can give

Have not had that problem. But you said you were told that the Check Engine Light was on because its time to change the transmission fluid. I have never heard anything about the CEL lighting for that reason. Others can chime in here, but I think that was bogus information. It may be past time for the transmission fluid change, but that's not why you have CEL.

Transmission Fluid is changed when the Fluid Life Monitor displays a message on the DIC (not a CEL) or at least every three years, whichever if first. You have to change at least every three year regardless. If you have a 2021 and the fluid has not been changed you are past the three year mark, you missed it, and you need to change it.

The Transmission Fluid Life System tracks mileage but it does not track time and will not warn you of the need to change the fluid at three years - but you still need to do it. The Fluid LIfe System will count down to 0% remaining at or near 45000 miles, and if that happens, you will get a Change Transmission Fluid Soon or Change Transmission Fluid Now message on the DIC, not a CEL.
