TPMS issue on a 2024
I was at the track and swapped out a set of stock wheels and tires with another stock set of wheels and tires. I do this all the time and have no problems with the tpms. The car sees the sensors and reports the pressures without an issue. That's the way its supposed to be. C8 shouldn't need to have a "relearn" process. This time the car wouldn't see the rear sensors and as usual with any small issue threw a fit. Traction control went on, etc. lost a session. put another set of wheels and tires on, no problems. Car saw them and all was good. Anyone else have this issue when swapping wheels and sensors? Im wondering if those two sensors are bad.

I do this a lot. With a battery disconnect the TPMS comes up pretty quick. With a wheel/tire change I do a relearn and it can take 3 or 4 miles for them to update. I suspect bad TPMSs. Will they read after a relearn?

I just bought the tool off of Amazon for about $30. Takes 30 seconds and couldn't be easier. Never had a TPMS issue changing wheels/tires back and forth. I'm using sensors off of Amazon as well.

My issue was I didn't leave them on for 20 minutes before driving. I swapped tires and was in the car as soon as it came off the jack. When I got home I put the same set of tires on, let the car sit for an hour, and they were operating when I started driving.

Auto-learn process sometimes fails, and can ruin a session or a day. I have the manual learning tool, and use it every time I switch the tires. It takes less than a minute, and no surprises.
