Remote Tuning
For anyone that has a modified engine and is having drivability issues, I would like to introduce Daniel Rangel from Dan Tunes Powertrain Calibrations.
My C8 has a Magnuson Supercharger, Big bore HPFP, Stage two cam with a 30% increased lobe for the HPFP, +40 injectors, water methanol, 10-1 compression ratio, Dodson clutch and a CPC fitted.
My tuner at the time really struggled with the tune and fixing the issues, which were, very difficult to start and needed throttle assistance, would often stall when coming to a stop and stall going through intersections.
After 2 months of remote tuning and not getting anywhere, Dan was recommended to me. He looked at my tune and said “If he can’t fix it he won’t charge me” First tune attempt fixed all the faults, hit the starter button and fired up straight away. 3 tunes later it was a dream to drive. The first dyno he got an additional 70hp and the C8 drives perfectly.
Dan is an absolute legend with the C7 and C8 plus many other performance vehicles. I had almost accepted that my C8 was going to have issues because of all the mods. I’m so glad I didn’t accept the way it was.
