Default C8 Brake Flush - System Pressure Release

Using a pressure bleeder on the C8 for the first time. Worked well but around 14-15 psi it seems that the master cylinder has a pressure release valve that will not allow it to go over 14 psi. Did anyone else experience this when using the pressure bleeder? Is this normal? Note, battery was disconnected.

I haven’t seen this and I use a pressure bleeder. You’re probably losing pressure with a leaking seal. Many have reported problems with that.

... and it might be just leaking from the cap adaptor that never seats perfect on Motive bleeder. Besides, 14 PSI is plenty : )

Does your pressure bleeder have a built in pressure relief?

That’s exactly what it ended up being. It would bleed off about 1-2 psi and then reseal. Thanks for the response
