I'm probably just going to use an old bolt that I've cleaned up to run through the threads. You are basically just trying to get the old thread locker cleaned out so you get an accurate preload on the new bolt. I don't know if I'd trust a brush get everything removed from the root of the threads and not damage the crown of the threads. At the very least I'd run a clean bolt through the threads afterwards to make sure.

I am taking my 2023 to have the transmission fluid changed on Tuesday. Just for LAUGHS I will ask how they clean out the threads. I am sure the service advisor will be clueless, 😬😬😬
