2026 PDR debacle
"To complement the upgraded PDR system, Cosworth are providing a new desktop application to enable the analysis of the outings from the vehicle - AliveDrive Desktop. There is a phased delivery plan for the features in AliveDrive Desktop, and some of the features you mention in your email are coming in later releases. The plan is to take the original Cosworth (GM) Toolbox application, and to improve and extend on it in order to provide end users with an even better analysis tool.

The goal is to provide a continual , incremental improvement to the functionality of the application in an agile approach - delivering functionality as and when it is available. The roadmap above is the current plan but is subject to change so that we can deliver features when available, not sticking to a rigid timetable.
We are providing a view of the latest feature rollout plan via the roadmap on the AliveDrive Desktop product page of our website, Alivedrive Desktop | Cosworth
We are aware of a bug where the audio/video can get out of sync during playback which has been fixed with a vehicle update. Your vehicle may have been delivered with our PDR R26.4 software. GM are providing an OTA update to customers to take the PDR to our R27.0 version which fixes this issue.
We are also aware of an audio/video sync issue for AliveDrive Desktop exports, noticeable when the outing file export is long (e.g. 30 minutes or more). We are working on a fix for this issue.
Website says Pi Lite is free, but when I try to import an AliveDrive file from my SD card it says I don't have a license.
AliveDrive Desktop is provided free of charge to GM customers as part of the overall PDR system.
Cosworth's professional motorsport application, Pi Toolbox, provides an alternative approach for advanced users who are keen to see even more data. You don't have to use Pi Toolbox it’s just another option. As a customer with a PDR system, you are able to use Pi Toolbox Lite to open AliveDrive (PDR) outings and you will be able to see all the data. If you wish to also view the outing video (video stream without overlay) in Pi Toolbox, then you will have to take out a monthly/annual subscription to the 'Plus' version of Pi Toolbox. This is the message being shown regarding lack of license."
