Rear View Mirror removal
The PDF service manual shows just a twist to remove it, but there must be more to it. There is no other explanation.
I twisted really hard and it won't budge. I don't want to break it.
There has to be a lock or some type of release? Anybody?

Then you can insert a small screwdriver in the slots for leverage, and twist. Yea, sure..
The slots are really small and the screwdriver will not go thru. That's weird.
I tried a small screwdriver wedged in as far as I could, broke off one of the slot brackets.
Ended up grabbing those back flanges with a big pair of channel locks in one hand, and twisting the bracket as much as I could by hand.
Really difficult. A lot of strain, and it moved and twisted off.
You can see the broken tab at the bottom, and the screwdriver will not go thru. These cars are designed for a one shot assembly, not to be worked on.
That was the easy part. Then two electrical connectors. The big one is not too hard. The video connector has a purple lock tab, and a latch lock. That took half an hour to figure out,
