For you Quarter Miilers. Would you suggest installing a set of Line Locks to help keep things a bit easier on the DCT and the Limited Slip?
While reading your post made my head hurt, I see what you’re saying. It would indeed be nice if something like this existed, it’s impossible to do a real burnout at the track with these turds.
I contacted 3 major speed shops in the Houston area, including Peitz performance who did my flex fuel E85 install, all three are highly respected. None, let me repeat NONE of these speed shops would even consider installing a line lock on my 2021 Z51. Now if they won't install a line lock, who am I to go to a middle of the road speed shop and get them install one. When Steve Feredays company (LMR) and Alex Peitz say no, that's enough for me.
So one night I was surfing the web and came upon a video I attached to a thread that was started about line locks for c8's. This video has a bit of engineering and may seem boring, but it truly explains why line locks are a bad idea for the C8. It's worth the time to watch. The reason I was given by the three speed shops is that it messes with the computer, however after watching this video, there are more reasons than just the computer when respected speed shops refuse to install a line lock on a C8.

I made one myself after watching Carl's how-to video. It works fine on full size fronts but it tended to push my drag skinnies so I sold the setup to a member here when I traded in the Stingray.
I never considered doing it for the DCT or diff, it was all about the 60.

Thanks for the solid advice from the group to stay away of land locks with the C8 and stay with the owners manual heat up rear wheels procedure.
First tune for Flex E85 was December/2023. At the same time eliminated both AFM plus Cold Start. On my second NA Cam and Heads tune also added G-Force axles, Nick Williams 103 TB and Corsa NPP exhaust. Sweet chop idol.

Off topic, what mods do you have? I’m having mine tuned on Flex as well, I just sent my ECM in to be unlocked.
This was my 2021 Z51 and only had Attack air filter, E 85 flex fuel tune, and drag radials. My current car is a 2025 E Ray, bone stock at this time. I did purchase a couple of Forgestar F14's (20 x 11) and Mickey ET street R (305/35/20), however I got the drag radials because you can't take a car with street tires to certain drag strip days and drag strip rentals. After making several passes with drag radials and no line lock, I don't have a lot of faith in them.
Also, if you're going E85 and have a flex fuel tune installed, be sure and do it the proper way with a DSX flex fuel system that only a hand full of tuners have access to. Mine was in Houston, Peitz performance.

I saw that on their site 3 years ago I believe. Still states they are out of stock. They possibly had a short run and stopped making them.
I bought snowblinds homemade ones but still have not installed yet
I am sure they will work fine. It's just 2 linen locks between the calipers & feed lines. so the computer does not register the pressure. some flex lines & 2 solenoids & wire them up.
single switches I wonder how one only would work for a odd doughnut haha.
