Default GrandSport LS6 dyno sheet to scale

Most of the time the scale gives an appearance greater than reality. The origial scale gave an illusion of a 30% power increase.
Just for a reality perspective, I mocked up the actual 13% power increase below

Is it just my imagination or does the LS6 produce peak TQ and HP about 500 RPM lower than the LT2? Does the LS6 have slightly longer runners than the LT2?

Torque peaks 550rpm lower 4600 vs 5150 and hp peaks 350rpm lower 6100 vs 6450, so I’m thinking cam specs are the same as the rule of thumb is 8* duration per 50ci which is a 4* change in IVC and every degree change in IVC is 100rpm.

Both longer stroke and higher CR will move the peak torque lower in the RPM band, where on a street car its more usable and fun. Still amazed they can get away with 13:1CR. I bet the LS6 would really come alive on the top end with a slightly more aggressive cam.

I’m not surprised looking at how Ford jumped the 5.0L V8 in the F150 1.5 points to 12:1 when they made it dual injection and it runs on only 87 octane.
