Iirc there were many, but mostly done by one guy..and others basically copied what he did (including some mags) and added to it.
Maybe he is no longer with us?

Maybe GM is no longer paying him.

Interesting thought actually... the two guys who were doing most of the render work have left the forum. Chazcron's last login was 1-11-2020, firstvettesoon's last login 1-30-2021.

Chaz was the one I was referring to, he was/is very talented. Maybe went on over to MECF. Seems a little less trolly over there.

Seems a bit lazy to me for C&D to just use the C6 cup wheels / C7 GS wheels for a C8 Z06 render.

Chaz had the C8 rendered 99% correctly well in advance of the official reveal. There was one specific poster, I can't remember his name and wish I could, that was telling him for months his render was crap and it wasn't going to look like that, and he basically disappeared after the reveal. It was great.

Chaz was so close it was almost like he was a controlled leak from GM

I'm 95% sure the guy you are talking about ditched that account and has a new name on here now. Because there is someone that writes EXACTLY like him who joined about the same time that guy went MIA. I won't rat him out (or possibly accuse an innocent person, but I'd just about bet they are the same person).

EDIT: And by "exactly" the same, they make the same spelling/grammar mistake over and over... like the one I just fixed for myself! We are creatures of habit.

The top two guys doing the Stingray renders were always getting their ***** busted by a poster named Shaka.

The irony of it was their renders proved to be a hell of a lot closer to how the Stingray actually debuted, than Shaka's drawings.

Chaz did some great renders for the new Mustang as well as the Camaro, and also some Audi stuff I believe. I doubt he’s affiliated with both Ford and GM (and VW), but I do think he knows insiders and is also very good at what he does. Maybe he’s on some other forum making renders of their new car. Or maybe he’ll show up here again soon with something interesting to show.

I do know that whatever he has done in the past has been very close to reality.

Yeah, Shaka was definitely one that was proven wrong, but he stuck around for awhile, looks like his last post was in Feb of this year.

Shaka was exactly who I was referring too. He was ruthless in his attacks of Chaz's renders and couldn't have been more off base.

Chaz was right! But IMO, I wish Shaka had been right. I think Shaka was too influenced by his view of what the C8 S/B, C/B and Chaz was a "photo Intelligence interpreter" digging out the details of what is from the camo that GM applied. I miss Shaka's stimulus.

Yea, Shaka's a hoot. No filter but interesting commentary. Pretty sure he wouldn't **** on me if I were on fire. But I hope he's doing well, all the same.
