I read somewhere that there is an issue with some Z06 transmission cases cracking, probably from the vibration from FPC. Here is a video that appears to address that issue:
I’m a little skeptical here. They’ve been testing these cars for years. Now here at the last minute they have a major issue on their hands. That issue is conveniently only known about by one person outside of GM.
I haven't seen any reports of the Z06 transmission failing. Stingray, yes for other unrelated reasons. Unless someone can back this up with a source, I don't see how the video can just dive into "the reason why the z06 transmissions are failing is..."
Unless you can provide the source for where you "read somewhere" then it's just an unsubstantiated rumor. They've been testing for years so I doubt they're having issues at the stroke of midnight.

Yeah, I agree but just can't remember where I read that. I am not a troll. I've been here over 20 years.
I was going to ask the same as the OP. I have seen a guy on the C8Z06 facebook group posting his videos about this saying it true and all that without giving his sources...
Looked at some more of this guys posts and videos. The guy in the video, not the OP. He’s pushing doom and gloom hard without providing any sort of source or proof.
I also have on good authority that not ONE owner of a new Z06/Z07 car has yet to fill his or her or (______)'s gas tank yet. And i have put about the same average miles on mine as everyone else has.
While the Tesla is not yet stopping at gas stations it appears no cutomer car has yet come in for a fillup. I think this could be news.
I have not filled mine since I put the deposit down and that was in early 2021!

How does he have any information on a possible failure. There is no way he can substantiate that. He is a youtube wannabe and an engineering student drop out that thinks he’s the smartest guy in the room.
Considering that the C8Z is rumored to be equipped with something akin to magnetorheological shocks for the engine mounts, GM seems astutely aware of the inherent issues and potential drawbacks that the vibrations could cause. I think it would be absolutely ingenious of them to introduce something like that to address this, assuming it works and is up to the task. To that end, the absorption of engine vibrations should reduce must of the stress seen by the transmission. How that translates to the transfer case specifically will be seen after these cars are on the road. Owners of these cars are known to not leave well enough alone so, it's only a matter of time until they are put to the test.
I suspect, however, that no one will be able to give you realistic feedback on this until there are consumer-available versions prowling the streets.

Not true. My 2023 Z06 has already been in the shop 3 times for various issues, not the least of which was coming FROM the factory with NO blinker fluid. Not to mention the sticking #7 Fetzer valve...
GM sucks.
