3. Zora w/ twin turbos and the eRay hybrid electric front drive
4. Electric "Corvette" branded SUV?
Then what? The C8 architecture is optimized for an ICE hybrid, not a full BEV. Would probably be more efficient to do a new car for a BEV sportscar i.e. C9 or Caddy "halo" car.
With all the supply problems they've had, I'm not convinced we're going to get both a ZR1 and a Zora. I think it's only going to be the car we've all been calling Zora. GM may end up calling it ZR1 though. I don't know that Zora has enough name recognition outside the hard core Corvette community.
Built on a C8 platform is likely to be a Cadillac. A revised Cien maybe? A hybrid? A hydrogen or E85 hybrid? A fuel cell electric? Maybe it will be priced with the new $300k Celesitq.
There will also be a Electric C8 SUV, like the Mustang Mach E.
There is a new Blazer SS EV SUV with reportedly 557 hp. There's no need for a Corvette EV SUV. They can't even produce enough Stingrays or Z06s, & Mark already said the next version is the electrified hybrid.
Not in the least bit interested. I have never ordered a new car before, let alone got on a wait list for one. After this fiasco, I can confidently say I will never do this again. At least not with GM. Just not worth it. For them to "tease" future releases when they can't get out what they got shows how disconnected they are in my opinion. They should be far more focused on releasing CURRENT vehicle status and information, not future vehicle information.

Where is the new Tesla Roadster? Where is the new Tesla Pickup? Where is the Tesla Semi. All were both promised to be in production by now. This from the much-vaunted Tesla. GM is not the only tease.

Oh god they can keep that pos. I have zero desire for that type of thing. An ice derived corvette suv ala my x5MC or Lambo urus type of thing sure. Full blown EV suv. GM has enough of that crap already. They are all the same imo.

Blame Wall Street for both of these situations. They're the ones literally buying into this hype shitshow.

The Corvette EV SUV rumor said it wouldn't be built at Bowling Green, so it wouldn't really be tied to any issues with building the actual Corvettes. I would imagine it will basically just be an upgraded Blazer EV will some Corvette styling added to it.
So basically I think it will be an abortion like the Mach E.
i am losing my interest in the z06. still #4 at my dealer, but my guess is by the time i may be able to order there will be more interesting options to consider. i would prefer awd hybrid to z06.

Musk is too busy bankrupting Twitter to spend time on other vaporware like Hyperloop,
the Boring Co., etc.
While I am happy that the Corvette continues to evolve and grow as an offering from GM, the idea of two new models on the platform is concerning.
The only way this announcement should have been made was through the announcement of either a plant/line expansion at Bowling Green or the introduction of another "line" in another location to produce any "E-Car" or "other" type using the platform. Production of the C8 is adversely effected by Z06 production, and the HTC/Coupe/Z06 production line limitations per every ten cars make the production process complicated beyond imagination. To add a Zora car to that mix seems incredible. Like who's idea was that? Are they still working here? Ect...
The Z06, announced a while ago is a long way off for many of us after a couple years of waiting for the announcement...Let alone production start.
Do they seriously think WE don't know how the prospective HALO CORVETTE owner reasoning process now goes?
