I have seen where owners have lowered their cars a bit without modifying the suspension. Looks way better. What are the cons to doing this? Mine has front raising option. Does that add complexity to it?
Lowered a car once. Never again. Too much scraping and can't get up or down a slope.or over some speed bumps and humps.
That's the beauty of front lift. Stock height w/o front lift is relatively manageable by many, so if you lower it but can use front lift to get back to that height, it's the best of both worlds
^ Correct - not worth loss of warranty. Saw a tech bulletin on this and it had a picture of Paragon collars explicitly showing this will void applicable parts warranty.
Front lift cars have to have lowering collars on them in the front. The cars without front lift are easy to lower.
I want to lower mine, but I wont as it could be a reason GM doesn't warranty a front lift/suspension issue, fwiw.

$425.52 for the front left shock assembly with mag ride and ground clearance pkg
$357.96 for the front right shock assembly with mag ride and ground clearance pkg
Even if you had a parts failure in the shock assembly caused by the front lift sleeve modification that's a cheap price to come out of pocket for
I don’t have front lift so lowering was a no brainer.
front lift just adds to the complexity of the whole situation plus running the risk of warranty voided if and when they know you lowered the car. Totally not worth it.
The easiest and safest way to lower the Z06 is by cranking down the coilovers. They were made for this sort of benefit. The drop is slightly less than an inch and it makes a big difference from an appearance standpoint. This is what I did on my 2023 and even though I do have the front lift, I rarely use it. A 1" drop is not that significant and you should have no issues with regular speed bumps. Most other sports cars like the Porsche GT3 come from the factory pretty low and for some reason the Z06 is pretty high in comparison.

Exactly, whole reason I’ve even specd Front lift on all of my C8s, knowing I had the intention to lower them.

It’s pretty cheap even IF GM decides not to warranty front lift because of the use of lowering collars on front. Worth the price to me not having the monster truck wheel gap.
Yeah i lowered mine 3/4" but i don't have front lift.
I was more annoyed at the ugly *** offsets GM gave us over the monster ride height. It actually didn't look that terrible in comparison to the stock C7Z height. Could be body types that gave me a different impression.
I had to lower the car and add spacers in the rear. So much better.

But if you do spacers or aftermarket wheels to get proper offset, and don’t lower it, it looks 527363 times worse IMO. Because you see the tire tread and it looks even more monster truck like.

what option did you use with front lift? Collars or Lowering Springs
