I too am tired of waiting on C8Z. I almost traded my manual c7z in on a Porsche 911 Carrera S manual to hold me over till the c8z a few years ago. Not sure if the Carrera S will have enough power to make a smooth transition, but I'm thinking of doing it now. Hopefully its a smoother transition from my c7z. I'm thinking it will hold its value till I get a c8z. Maybe I can get a 2025 hybrid Carrera S to hold me over, since it will be more powerful.
Thanks all. The Corvette community has been a wonderful part of my life for decades. I've met a lot of good people and made lasting relationships and will continue this in the future. The Turbo S in the short time I've owned it has been great. I haven't street raced in a long, long time; I've gotten wiser over the years and my racing needs are satisfied on the strip. With this car, there isn't even the urge to engage the guy in the next lane because I know and he knows what the outcome would be. It's hard to fathom that my race car, with a race motor, transmission, race gas, slicks and trailered to the track would probably lose to the Turbo S driven right off the street. I didn't realize that there are so many Corvette owners who also own or have owned Porsches. I always thought the two were like oil and water. Thanks again for the good wishes. I'll keep you posted.

Can’t say I blame you on being frustrated with the wait - and you ended up with a gorgeous Porsche. Enjoy your new car and perhaps you will get a C8 in the future.

Nice choice. The 911 always looks great in silver. I, too, got tired of waiting and was ready to pick up a CPO McLaren GT now that the prices have dropped. I stumbled across a forum member selling his 2LZ Z07 coupe for a great price and bought it. No regrets with my choice. Enjoy the 911, they are fun cars to drive.
Minding my own business a few weeks back and found a Cayman, the poor mans Porsche! I've had a number of C8s and just miss rowing. I was in line for a 25 CT5 BW but started to think I did not need 668 HP. I traded a 24 CT5 on the Porsche which I had only 4 months. Was not feeling the love for the standard CT5 and felt the BW would not make me happy. I shopped all available manuals and the Cayman seemed to be a fit. I got a crash course in Porsche..... they are real proud of the 911 and its in demand which was a deterant to me. Local dealer has a lock on the area of several rich neighborhoods which was also a challenge.
I loved my Corvettes over the years. Worse mistake was selling a 16 Z.
I can see myself coming back but always wanted a Porsche so it will work.
My goodness that Porche is absolutely stunning.
Don't ever park next to a C8 Z06 because your car will completely overshadow the Z IMO.
At the C&C here in So Cal your car would be directed to the exotic parking area. Not the Z.
I'm not denigrating the Z at all. It's a great car.
But that Porsche is just beautiful.
Nice grab.
