Default Couldn’t wait anymore

Hello fellow forum members. I’ve been a member of the forum for 20 years and will continue to be a member. January of 2021, put down deposits at Criswell and Les Stanford for a Z06. That’s over 3 years ago. . I’ve had a C3, C4,C5Z06, C6Z06 and a C7 Z06. The 84 has been converted to a bracket car.
Someone once said you accrue money, but you can’t accrue time. I’ve been looking at Porsche Turbo S cars for some time. I found one I liked and pulled the trigger. It’s a certified 2023 with 900 miles fully speced. The car has been great and everything I expected. I’ve kept my deposits for the C8Z06 and who knows what the future will bring. Good luck to you all and keep motoring.

Thanks all. The Corvette community has been a wonderful part of my life for decades. I've met a lot of good people and made lasting relationships and will continue this in the future. The Turbo S in the short time I've owned it has been great. I haven't street raced in a long, long time; I've gotten wiser over the years and my racing needs are satisfied on the strip. With this car, there isn't even the urge to engage the guy in the next lane because I know and he knows what the outcome would be. It's hard to fathom that my race car, with a race motor, transmission, race gas, slicks and trailered to the track would probably lose to the Turbo S driven right off the street. I didn't realize that there are so many Corvette owners who also own or have owned Porsches. I always thought the two were like oil and water. Thanks again for the good wishes. I'll keep you posted.

Hard to argue against the Turbo S. Absolute supercar in every respect. I love my C8 but my dream car is a 992 GT3............someday........

I traded my 2020 Z51, 3LT C8 for a 2021 911 Turbo S and kept it for two years. Without a doubt it was the best car I've ever owned. I would have another but the 911 market is more than a little insane right now. So I'm sitting at 2000 for my Z06. Now if I could just interest someone in a set of Forgeline GT1's shod in Sport Cup 2's.

Congrats!!!
I love the 992 Turbo S and I like your choice of 5 lugs wheels, I have centerlocks and while great, they are a PITA to change, I would definitely prefer 5 lugs.

I have a 2024 C8 Z06 HTC and a modded 2015 911 Turbo S cabriolet.

I am constantly looking at the Newer 992 Turbo S models, prices are starting to come down.

I found one I love, but it is still $236K pre-owned and I just put $6k in to my 2015 doing every major service that takes it past the 12 year service mark.

I agree. There are no "deals galore". Just because you see C8Z's on the market doesn't mean it's a "deal".

Plus i don't care if the warranty is transferred over from the first owner, and if the selling dealer is the best dealer in the world, i would never buy a second hand C8Z. That's not the car you buy used IMO.

I would never buy any C8 used after my experience with my New 2023 C8 that got Lemon Lawed.
A warranty is all well and good until your car is in the shop 4 months and you are driving a Chevy Trax

Nice car. It'll be quite a spell before Z06's are MSRP, or below.

Personally i wouldn't even think about a SR after owning a C8Z. But if i was in the market, you're right, i would go brand new.

I would never go back to a regular C8, but maybe an E-ray for winter use. I wouldn't trade the C8Z for an E-ray, but if I wanted 2 Vettes, the C8Z and E-ray would be cool.
Since my Turbo S does everything the E-ray does and adds a back seat, I am covered.

My big decision is, do I eventually buy a New or CPO Turbo S or just keep mine?
My next move if I keep mine would be adding Larger Turbos at a cost of around $18K including upgraded intercoolers and Dyno-tune, it would be a solid low 10 second car at 137-138 on pump 93.
Truth is, it is fast enough now and I will never use all that power, but you know how that goes.
