I love the interior of my C8. I guess the center screen could have a smaller bezel but it's not bothering me. If they do a bigger screen I would like to see a 360 overhead camera view and Blind Spot camera displays.
I think GM should offer some nice, old school, beautiful physical gauges. And then if you want the electric flat screen TV in front of you, make it an option. The Mustang did that with the previous generation Mustang.
The C8 infotainment screen looks much less "tacked on" than many cars these days. For many folks the real issue is the row of buttons that are nearly impossible to distinguish without looking.
Hopefully they will leave the cockpit idea. A Cadillac style dash would be a big step in the wrong direction.
Anyone who looks at the C8 interior and thinks "Nope, this is PERFECT, literally nothing they could do to improve this." is clearly blind. The C8 infotainment screen looks like a tacked-on iPad.
My eyesight is 20/20, and the last thing I want changed is the center bar. As for the screen, it is clear and visible. Whether it could be better integrated given the cockpit layout, is a question I can't answer.
The Z06 interior works well for me, I don't have to look at the bar (after a year of driving) to change conditions, and the screen is reachable, clear, and compared to many cars who rely on it for everything, practical and user friendly. My 2 cents.

I honestly couldn't tell you what the gauges look like in two of my 3 vehicles because I use the HUD exclusively. I do glance at the gauges in my '11 Z06 bc the HUD display is so bad/dated.
I also don't need a blindspot video monitor in the screen because I adjust my mirrors correctly & check them regularly

I don't mind the current layout, but since they added the fixed soft buttons on the left and info ribbon at top of the infotainment screen, it would be nice to have a larger center screen to get back the size for AA/CP. The other thing that would be nice is eliminating the center wall buttons. For everyday use they are fine even with a passenger, but for track use, if you have a passenger/instructor, they are too easy for them to push things accidently. Ultimately a screen/stack redesign wouldn't be enough to make me buy a new one, but if they do it along with a change like adding adaptive cruise, then I might think about it.
My opinion - the C8 interior is a huge step up in quality from prior generations. The only quibble people apparently have is the center wall of buttons. Admittedly, it is a bit of an ergonomic oddity but still functional. My only minor gripe is that the center console, while creating a cockpit like feel for the driver, does confine the passenger and separates them from the driver. No putting your hand on your S/O’s leg (or whatever you choose to do 🤣 while driving. That said, GM has never made a major interior design change in modern corvette history. Not sure the rumors have any real validity - the internet and social media can be a bit of an echo chamber and I wonder if much of the hype swirling around this rumor is a result of this phenomenon.
I don't like the big all-in-one screens, it's really the only thing I dislike about my new M2. However, the C8 infotainment screen looks so out of place & like an afterthought, that it needs to be revised. The C7 infotainment screen was so much better integrated.

The current infotainment screen looks tacked on. Hopefully they can streamline and integrate everything better.
As a side note; the response from GM about the squircle steering wheel shape was that it allows full view of the instrument cluster.....Would it not make more sense to have a perfectly round steering wheel (which the driver interfaces with constantly) and make the instrument cluster a rounded shape that matches the wheel....??!?!?! Especially given it's all digital. This has always amused me.

I really like the rest of it.
The floating screen is no accident or afterthought. If they wanted it integrated, it would be. But the floating screen allows for the sweeping design that everyone loves while reducing the bulk of a dashboard that would crowd an already small interior. Anyways, to each his own.

Yet you quoted multiple posts from those who don't love it. The tacked on ipad screen has been discussed on this forum as something people don't like since the reveal of the car

Yes, correct, I quoted the 3 people who don’t like it.
Don't think the 26 is a full interior redesign. I believe the cluster and console screens will be combined in a single curved display and th wall of buttons will be gone with ac controls below the console portion of the screen. Rest of interior likely unchanged.

If they follow many other manufacturers, the climate controls will be an app in the screen, which will be annoying.

We just bought an Audi A6 for my wife (it's a 2023) and with dual screens, and EVERYTHING being touch, I'm not exactly what you'd call a fan of the design.

My '23 M2 has everything, except the heated steering wheel, moved to the screen. To turn on the heated seats now requires pressing climate on the screen the heated seats, then the level of heat. That's if I'm on the home screen. If I'm on the media screen (CarPlay) or any other screen, then I have to hit the home screen first. 4 steps to turn on the heated seats that previously could be done by pressing the heated seat button with my eyes still on the road. Now on the '25s they removed the heated steering wheel button & put the control in the screen as well.
On my wife's '22 X3MC you can program the specific outside temp you want either the heated or cooled seats to activate. Nice feature. Took it away for '23 + and now the vehicle's "intelligent" auto climate system will determine the optimal cabin temperature. So far mine has activated my heated seats and heat when it was 70 degrees outside, activated my heated steering wheel with remote start when it was 80 degrees outside, & not activated any heating features when it was 35 degrees outside. Gotta love technology.
Very funny, fact of the matter is, no matter the model, Audis simply don't come with remote start. I don't know why, they just don't. It wasn't until 2024 that you could remote start one with an app.

That is odd. Can you purchase remote start for the '23? I know with BMW you can add various options/services after the fact, like remote start, because it's just software.

Not according to the Audi dealer. Although the dealer in Madison Wisconsin has figured out a way if you buy a third fob (have no idea what's wrong with the two I already have) they do some programming magic and if you press the lock button three times it remote starts. Which shows the car CAN do it.
