It’s been 10 weeks since my 2023 Z06 blew the engine. It had 8k miles. There is no eta for a new engine. GM customer care keeps apologizing but is otherwise useless. The cars are still being built, it’s not a parts issue. Why can’t they find a way to have engines ready for loyal customers? They surely can, so why don’t they? They just don’t care. Even at these price points. What a joke.
I thought you were being serious for a moment. Then realized that you were making a funny. Nice laugh there. I have learned repeatedly over the years with reinforcement from the expanded team that GM as a whole does not care nor do the dealerships. Its all about the bottom line. Nothing more or less. You have to find the select few individuals that are good at their jobs to assist to get anything moving. Squeaky wheel gets the oil type of organization.
If I were you. The first thing I would be doing is seeking lawyer and perusing lemon law. Check your state laws. This will get someone off their @#^# to do their job. Sometimes I believe they just stall things to move that option off the table. You can send email to mary barra and it will be picked up by the exec team to reach out and help. That is another avenue.
Sorry to hear you are having the problem. Hopefully you get things resolved. Keep us posted.
Just a car to them... in their defense they handled my '25 Lemon repurchase very well and I have a '26 now, but for $145K the cars are just so inconsistent in quality / assembly. But for fun I searched used Porsche GT3 manuals under $180K. There are 12 on Autotrader nationwide and all 996s 20+ years old. So there literally is no other car that gives you nearly 700 horse and this capability anywhere close to the money; and they know it.
I think a lot depends on the dealership. Unfortunately, I had to replace my engine and transmission. The dealer stayed engaged from start to finish. They had my car for one month and two thousand miles later I’m happy with the results. The dealer was Classic Chevrolet Grapevine Texas.
It’s just past the lemon law deadline or I would have done it. My dealer has been great. It’s not their fault. I did email Mary Barra. Total waste of time. It’s just sent back to the customer service people, who call me every week and tell me how sorry they are. I was thinking of getting a ZR1, but not now.
Don't know what your State's lemon law all entails, but it might be worth making a phone call to a lawyer or two.
The dealership should really be the one's putting the pressure on GM to provide an engine. GM care your talking to I really don't know how much power they really have.
Short answer is no, look at how they handled communication with Owners of cars stuck on the lots and factory during the fuel recall. We are 3 years into this model and still have DCT issues, Leaking front Oil covers, Excessive valve noise, and Radiator hose clamps not being put on correctly. As owners we continually hear how great this car is but then nothing but excuses when it inevitably is stuck at a dealer with only 1 Corvette specialist and parts on nationwide back order.
If you email Customer Cares you will get boiler plate corporate speak with no answer any where near the question or issue. It's the little things that help keep brand loyalty and GM doesn't even do the large necessary ones.
Regrettable true. Back in Aug 2023 I got a message that my car was built. It was total bs. They were waiting for parts and it sat in a dirt lot in Bowling Green with no cover or protection for over 2 months. WTF.
Sorry for your troubles. As others have said, nobody gives a damn once they have your $$.
Its not only G.M. I have a close friend who has a 2022 Ferrari F8 Spider. Transmission blew up this spring. Car has been at the dealer since!!
At the same time of my above post, I agree there is no other car that brings this level of fun and performance when it works. I have just had to make sure to have plat GMPP. Visit 2 dealers on the regular to be a known customer and get service, some parts etc so they get some vig. Also realizing that through my own support system, this forum, and buying my own diagnostic gear, and super aggressive preventive maintenance schedules is what it will take to keep this car road capable.

What good would a plat GMPP do? He was a warranty. GM won’t send him and engine.
His question was does GM care, the answer is they don't with context on how I intend to hopefully keep my car running with Plat and other options No one here can help the OP.
OP, this sucks...I feel bad for you.
If I understand what you said is that you had an engine failure and GM has agreed to replace the engine under warranty. The issue is it is taking over 10 weeks for GM to send the replacement engine to your dealer. If this is correct I think the toughest part of the battel is over, GM has agreed to being liable for the engine replacement including parts and labor.
What is GM saying the reason is for the delay in producing the replacement engine?

As long as the car sells well, and the C8 generation does extremely well, GM has no incentive to do better.
