Anyone know if GM would produce something like 50% of c8's as z06's since there's such a high demand?
or... is that just impossible
I got my email and I'm 26XX
I will probably ask for my $ back

I sent the extra 3K, then sent an email to the z06 address. I immediately got the response that they are busy with all the traffic. I was going to wait until next week and send an email asking for conformation of them receiving the extra funds. Maybe to the manager Dave ?

Yes my bank sent the wire at 12:08 which was confirmed. I have no idea what time their bank is claiming they received the money, but my bank was done with their part by 12:08. I still feel like 3000-3500 is ridiculous considering when the transfer was completed by my bank, but oh well it is what is.
Banks should never guarantee when it will get there. Nothing the banks can do, nor the dealers bank. Fraud is a big problem for customers and banks. Thus, one reason that the Federal Reserve gets involved. The majority of wires are very fast but not all. The next time you wire money, ask the question, when will they get the money? If they guarantee the time, you have the wrong bank.

1) "The LT6 is a low/limited production"
2) 12 hand selected staff to assemble the LT6 engines.
3) Z06 production will be about 20% of total Corvette production once up to speed.
Hang in there... Things are always subject to change.

I just watched his video and it confused the f*ck out of me. He went over the morning of and put his deposit down, but then went back the next day to fill out the forms? And he's in the comments as recently as 2 days ago saying he doesn't know his number but "he's friends with the engineers" who made the car, so he thinks he'll get a good spot in Ciocca's line? And he's acting like it's news to him that some people got an email telling them their allocation number. And he's STILL telling his viewers in the comments that the deposit is $2,000, as recently as yesterday. Is he really not aware of the increased deposit, or playing dumb?
Why did I subject myself to that video and the comments section...?
My head is spinning.

No reservation number
Still didn't receive a reservation number so I requested a refund today. I sent it to z06 and Dan and asked for a confirmation of receipt. I got one from Dan about 10 minutes after I sent the email. Now I'll just have to see how long the refund takes. Good luck to everyone staying on the list. I'll look elsewhere and if I don't find anything I'll keep driving my SL 63 AMG. Not a z06 but no slouch. I tried to post this earlier but for some reason it didn't post.

have a great Thanksgiving everyone. I’m sure we all have a lot to be thankful for

It will be interesting to see how they do that with the 12 hand picked engine builders. At full capacity at 186 cars at 20 percent level the 12 will have to each build a little over 3 engines per day. Someone said they can build 1. In anyway these hand picked people are going to need more hands if they produce that many cars.
Engineers normally are pretty good at math and I am not. I must be placing the desmal point off. No more potty breaks for the engine people.

For the c7 zo6, each builder produced 2.5 a day. At peak, they were cranking out 45 per day, so math gets us to 18 builders (or lots of overtime).

I did a career in the Military and then a second career in the UAW for GM. I can tell you one thing I was astonished to the lack of quality on the lines I worked. We had a saying “ain’t going on my truck “ I witnessed guys dropping extra screws in door panels just to make noise. It was funny at the time but now I hope those same guy or their offspring don’t work on my Z06.

Keith Cornett from Corvette Blogger was on the Corvette Today podcast this week. I don't know where he got his information but he stated that one engine builder can produce a finished engine in 1 to 1 1/4 days. He's usually pretty accurate but I hope he's wrong.
