OP posts in a forum that has numerous active threads with descriptive titles on the topic but can’t be bothered to read them. Also the OP accurately describes his question. However, the question does not have to be asked, it has been asked and speculated about on many threads. He got exactly what he expected.
The C8.R/ZO6 engine isn't based on the Blackwing engine. Blackwing has 96mm bore spacing with an 86 mm bore x 90.2 mm stroke. It's an undersquare engine built for low revs and stump-pulling torque with a low 6000 rpm redline.
This is probably the LT6 engine block. Or maybe the C8.R's engine block, which would be very close to the LT6. I believe the rules allow some minor reinforcements to the racing block.
DFC62, I also had a 2008 ZO6, loved that car!! I would also love to have that same engine again in a C8Z. I also prefer NA motors, honest horse power; but, I do miss the 3rd pedal on the floor?
I'd luv an NA for the Z but don't fear a well designed TT V8, my BMW M850 is uber responsive with 0 perceptible lag, even when the engine is in comfort mode. In the high powered variants of TT's they are often underrated* the same cannot be said for many of the NA versions.
*As an example the engines in the M850's are rated at 523hp and have been dyon'ed 100% stock and well documented at ~600 hp

BMW under rating their engines is quite possibly the biggest internet fake news on the web…it’s a myth, BMW rates their engines IAW SAE J1349. An engine dyno run IAW SAE J1349 has inputs for intake manifold pressure/temperature for turbo/supercharged engines, a chassis dyno doesn’t. Depending on conditions, a turbo/supercharged car on a chassis dyno will either hurt your feelings with low readings or make you feel giddy with high readings. But like the true fanboys BMW drivers are, they only look at the big numbers to pump their chests up. You can look through the C6/C7 forums for chassis dynos of the supercharged Vettes and find some who got their feelings hurt with low readings and others who claimed to have a “factory freak” with high readings.
While there is a lot of documentation on the internet about the BMW 850M being under rated, I wouldn’t call it well documented, just incorrectly documented. Most people have never heard of SAE J1349, even more have no idea of what’s contained in SAE J1349. I have SAE J1349 and am familiar with what’s in it, there’s a section just for forced induction engines. Chassis dynos don’t have the same inputs to correct HP for FI engines, that’s where things go haywire. People look at chassis dynos as an accurate assessment of their engine HP when in reality, it’s just a tool to tune the engine or check HP increase after mods with the after comparison being done in close to the same conditions.

Never really noticed the two ports in the valley... looks like they would be for water, trying to picture what you would want to pump water through that would be in the valley....
