Nothing too special here, just the first I have seen in the wild. Took this from the car at the Detroit airport. I do like the color and the low spoiler

Thanks for posting, even though we’ve all seen a thousand photos of the Z06, seeing them in the wild from different angles and in different colors helps out when making decisions on a build.
For me, this photo helped to confirm my decision not to do a Z07. For my HTC which will be used solely as a street driven weekend toy, the design purity of the low spoiler, combined with the attractive aluminum wheels and more appropriate PS4 tires makes the Z07 unnecessary and less desirable to me regardless of the cost savings.
I do plan to order the ceramic composite brakes because I’ve had them on my last two sports cars and I appreciate their attributes. I also plan to order the Carbon Flash Nacelles, Roof and A Pillars, as painting just the Nacelles looks disjointed to my eye. I will be ordering a 3LZ because frankly, I already expected everything it comes with in a mid six figure sports car.
It’s hard to fathom that Chevrolet is selling a low six figure sports car (1LZ) in 2023 that does not come standard with Homelink. It’s been a long time since Ive driven a car of any price where I had to clip my old garage door opener to the sun visor. Rant over. 😎

Regarding the painted roof, I seen both body colored and CF painted in person and I much preferred the body colored for several reasons. Body color painted gave the car a lower rear profile to me. The separation in color with the CF painted nacelles made the roofline and rear waistline appear taller (more elevated) when I seen in person. Additionally, part of the benefit of a HTC is having a convertible that looks like a coupe. With CF painted nacelles and roof, I thought it made the roof actually take the form of an old school convertible top. I left totally unimpressed with the look of CF painted nacelles. Everyone is different but do recommend you see them in person, if you haven't already.
I go back and forth myself. Good thing is they both look great to me… and I’ve never been a convertible fan before either. While I think the HTC looks more exotic from certain angles than the coupe, not being able to see the engine notwithstanding, the one design element from certain angles i dont like with the top up is the faux rear side window shape. The one thing I like about the Carbon Flash top on the HTC is this design element helps mask the shape of that faux window. It also helps create the illusion that the car is a bit lower IMO. Top down where this is less of an issue, I agree with you and slightly prefer the body colored top.
Good thing is coupe or HTC with either CF top or not… you can’t lose. They all look equally great top up in my opinion. Never before would I even consider a convertible… will probably be my toughest choice when the time comes to make a decision.

What really looks bad to me on the convertible is the rear window angle being near vertical. Just kills the whole design imho. That's why the coupe looks so much better... it looks more like a fastback.

Exactly what I meant, from some angles it’s less of an issue for me with the top up (not an issue at all with the top down IMO). I think the CF top helps hide that design element a bit.
With that said, still 1000 times better top up than any Corvette soft top I’ve seen. The increased adoption rate this gen supports that.

Holy crap! That elb looks amazing in that sunlight and that shot. Jesus. Wow. That stopped me right in my tracks. I might have to put that come back on the drawing board for consideration. I was was always thinking that color comes off with too much of a purple hue. But dam that looks amazing.
