Those of you that have never experienced CF wheels, are in for a surprise.
They're so much better at following road imperfections, it's not funny.
You'll notice the suspension is re-valved due to the decrease in mass.
Without going into "reduced gyroscopic" effect, the car will turn differently too. (Much like how the C8 turns differently from the C7,6,5.)
The car will change speed quicker, and change direction quicker. It's a marked change.

Yes I had a coupe and have a HTC now.
1. HTC has less helmet room and I can’t fit it in to take it on track. It has slightly more headroom for driving in a very reclined position, but that doesn’t help for a helmet.
2. The wind management top down isn’t that much better than the coupe top out. I had expected better.
3. The feel/view is a little better, but the nacelles are visible in your peripheral and it’s not as open as a traditional rag top.
4. I don’t fully trust the top to work forever and the way water pools in the back glass is begging for an eventual leak.
5. Putting top down with a button is awesome and being able to do it up to 30 is great.
6. I miss seeing the engine.
For my use the coupe is better… for a grand touring car the HTC is better.

I have a feeling there are going to be a lot of Z07 lookalikes out there with GM offering the Z07 aero package without having to order the Z07 package itself. Most people will just want the look at a reduced price, not to mention a more compliant suspension with more livable and durable tires.

For the same reason why I buy GT3s instead of GT3 RSs, I won’t be ordering the Zo7 package. I don’t need or want the stiffer track set up which tends to be less desirable on public roads. Also don’t need or want Cup 2Rs that don’t work well on the street or the extreme aero which looks odd to me on a convertible. I will order ceramic brakes because they significantly reduce unsprung weight, improve ride and handling and eliminate brake dust.

What are the chances that a fully optioned Z07 will be more than the ZR1 starting price ?

Using C7 pricing (assuming coupe to coupe or convertible to convertible) price difference was $39k between cheapest Z06 and cheapest ZR1.
Performance Options:
Z07 Package: $8K
Brakes: $7.5K
Carbon Fiber Wheels (no comparison to C7. They were part of an 18.5K package on the Mustang that included a bunch of other things, so guessing less than the $18k): $14k Guess
So, at this point, with just performance options, the Z07 would be $10k less than the ZR1 -- not including a seat upgrade which might be considered performance.
You can add in 3LZ $9K, exposed carbon fiber stuff for $3k, comp seats for $2k, etc to get you over the cost of the cheapest ZR1 pretty easily.

Personally I would be happy with just the basic Z06 car! I have no need for the Z07 pkg. as I will never track the car. I will prolly go for 2LZ , caliper color and wheel color as it's only options.

My guess is extremely likely. Just like a check every box C8 HTC prices out more than $100k, which will exceed the Z06 starting price. A fully loaded 3LT HTC Z07 will hit at least $140k and possibly $160k. I don't see the ZR1 starting above that.
