Are you getting the Z07 package?
I am going to spec my Z06 with minimal options. For me the must haves are the Z07 package and Competition seats. However, if the Z07 option exceeds $15k I will pass on it.
What are your must have options?

All I want is that motor. The rest I don't care about.

Burning Brakes
Probably not, although I like the spoiler so I may add that if it's a separate option/aftermarket. I want steel brakes and aluminum wheels and prefer the non-Z07 tires and suspension for street driving.

Today, yes. But I change my mind a few times per week.

I doubt it. Might just get the aero on its own, but the Z07 package is likely a considerable expense that is a bunch of stuff I really don't need. Especially the Cup 2R's... completely pointless on a street car. Just setting myself up to need new tires in a few months lol

As a racer, light weight stuff is important. My 2021 will go away. I will keep my 2023-4 Z06 forever. Full Z07, carbon ceramic, and carbon wheels. I only got 2LT on my 2021, but with ALL of the toys, but will max out the Z06 and keep it forever. It will be a gentleman race car. My 2008 Z06 will continue to be the bad-assed track rat.

Yes—this will be the last pursang (and extreme) N/A Vette that’ll be offered. I plan to keep this one. The only other Vette I’ve kept has been my old ZR (almost 27-years)—and this one will be the pinnacle N/A ICE car.
And it’ll see some DE duty, too.

I definitely want the full on Z07. Hopefully I can swing the painted carbon and wheels. I suppose it won’t be that much more fun, but I’d like to have that. Likely will get a HTC 3LZ forged wheel version. Track as much as possible…

Street vs Track use?
I used to buy RR compound Dunlop tires for my crotch rockets and would get 2,000 miles give or take 50 before needing to replace them. At $200~$300 per tire it's no big deal but $4000 a set of Z07's a deal breaker.
It appears you can spec your Z out to have the SP4 and get all the other goodies (carbon brakes, big wing and splitters) same as the Z07 but you won't get the springs, programming and steering mods.
Food for thought. And what are your thoughts?

My Z06 will be a daily, so full exhaust, wheels and a drop with 2LZ or 3LZ. Will not need Z07 as I don't really track often here due to the lack of tracks and bad weather year round.

This car will be one I keep a long time and track a lot. 1LZ coupe Z07 for me.

Didn’t you own both a coupe and HTC? I’m trying to decide between HTC no Z07 or the coupe with Z07. If you have owned them both did you prefer the HTC or the coupe? I stopped at the corvette museum last week and it surprised me that with the top up I prefer the HTC . Didn’t get to see it with top down.

1. HTC has less helmet room and I can’t fit it in to take it on track. It has slightly more headroom for driving in a very reclined position, but that doesn’t help for a helmet.
2. The wind management top down isn’t that much better than the coupe top out. I had expected better.
3. The feel/view is a little better, but the nacelles are visible in your peripheral and it’s not as open as a traditional rag top.
4. I don’t fully trust the top to work forever and the way water pools in the back glass is begging for an eventual leak.
5. Putting top down with a button is awesome and being able to do it up to 30 is great.
6. I miss seeing the engine.
For my use the coupe is better… for a grand touring car the HTC is better.

Another advantage of the HTC will be hearing the engine sound; you can put the rear window down get the ventilation/sound which is awesome. But that motor begs to be seen, which is a cool part of the coupe. Such a hard choice, I wish you could have both!
