Another chance encounter
OK, OK, I get it, this is not that big a deal with the car being revealed already, and I certainly know the CF is a tough crowd on a good day, but I was still pretty excited to see a C8 Z06 roll into my small mountain town. There are some really decent canyon roads, with nice elevation changes that obviously make for a good testing ground for Chevy to do some real world driving. I've actually caught up with the base model C8 being tested under camo a few years back in my supercharged C5, and shot some video, and then a year ago got another tip a group was headed thru town again, and was able to catch them with my modded C7 Z06, it is the second video for those that have not seen it.
The first video is one of a few short clips I grabbed with my Iphone, also took a bunch of pics. When I caught up with this guy, he said he was the GM suspension engineer, and was downloading data from the car onto his laptop. I just thought it was pretty cool that GM is custom tuning the suspension for my upcoming new Z on my own favorite canyon roads LOL!! Now let's just hope the gas prices cool off before delivery...
That's my ECOBOOST Tremor in the video, daily...

I'd have been excited to hear and see it in motion, although I saw one exactly like it on the dealer tour. Maybe the picture of those gas prices will scare about 20,000 folks in line for a Z06 to drop out so my order can move up!

Thanks JB. We know we can count on you for great videos while your doing some canyon carving. I also know you'll have no problem keeping up. Keep them coming

Nice pics. Looks like you're paying about $2 more per gallon of premium than I am on this side of the country. I actually saw a $.02 drop from yesterday to today.

Joel, thanks for the pics, that red Z is the exact one I’m ordering, I still have my ZR1 that was at your house back in 2010. I have the number one spot at my dealer, hopefully pick it up inBG in June.
Thanks again for the vids.

Looks 1000% better than the Stingray, even with the not so great rear end. I'd presume anyone who can, or chooses to afford a Z06 isn't worried about gas prices. Nice catch.

I bet you he drove to Idywild from Palm Springs side, that road is prime sports car habitat.
