When I got on the list almost 2 years ago MM estimated they would get around 220 allocations per year, or 18 a month, so I'm not sure why some are surprised that they only got 6 in the first round when GM has been emphasizing for months that this would be a slow roll out.

6 down, 185 to go. It's slow but it's starting to feel real!

I’d be less concerned if I didn't see that document that stated 10% Z06 production for all of the 2023 model year. If that holds true, MM will get half of what they originally predicted.

I have a hard time believing that the Z, which is not that dissimilar to a Stingray, can only be built at 1/10 the rate as a Stingray for an entire year. I am confident the 10% rate will increase as we get further into the model year...JMO.

Ok, so you are at 1100, waiting for an allocation that has a Z07 option attached to it.
Then GM will pickup your order.

I had a hard time believing that the Z, which is not that dissimilar to a Stingray, would start at $106k and option out to over $170k… higher than a maxed out C7 ZR1. Basically, I don’t know what to believe anymore. Do you honestly believe they can sustain traditional Z06 production and sales volume at these numbers? Constraints are definitely a factor, but I’m starting to believe they may have pivoted in more ways than one with this Z06… perhaps in an effort to push people to Eray.

I believe they will exceed 10% this model year and each year thereafter so long as demand is there...I am much less confident of 30%+ however. I also believe the CF wing will be constrained to some degree for a long time and that the majority of Zs built wont have it.

Here's to hoping they recycle all that aero that's seemingly on all the CTF cars

I don’t think demand is the problem though.

It could just be prolonged parts shortages of something specific to the Z06, but I’m starting to worry it might have more to do with mpg, and GM’s recent commitments to electric. Which I think might be what Jockitch is alluding to as well.

They will probably sell all the CTF cars at retail, so nothing to recycle, but Chevy may get some extra income for getting more than MSRP for the CTF cars - how ironic would that be?

Did they reach out to you for your configuration? And if so, was this after several peeps with a lower number opted to wait for Z07?

Down to 109 from 115 on the MM list
MM told me, they have reached out to first 30 on list
20 more by next week, to total the first 50 customers contacted. What that means, who knows. They are probably just feeling out their first 50 builds from their list. Filling customers in on availabilities and constraints etc. Just my guess.

I personally want a Z07

I hope that is not the case and GM figures out supply constraint issues, as I have my heart set on a Z07 and the aero that comes with it! But unfortunately I think you are going to be correct on your predictions…
