When are Z06's expected to hit market?

Burning Brakes
Locally $5K over MSRP for brand new in-stock C8s
lol
see post #3 in this thread.
You mean The ones sitting on dealer lots they’re still asking 25 to 30 K over sticker??
of course they’re gonna sit.
Getting with current market here is where things stand
Wholesalers, like Carvana and Carmax are still offering over MSRP Used.
The 20 K over sticker times are gone but used ones are easily selling for 7 to 10k over sticker that’s just the facts.
0% chance to see these at 55K over the next year. Like the band, Supertramp used to say dreamer nothing but a dreamer.

?? Not seeing anything and just fyi autotrader posts are usually fake and just leads to get customers to call
maybe you should look at the Manheim auction numbers on 3LT c8 that are sold around the country
I’m just keep it FACTUAL that these are still trading hands above msrp.
I still can’t stop chuckling about the post that these will be
sitting and piling up on dealer lots significantly below msrp in less than a year
curious, are you in the market for a C8?

You should stop ignoring history. When things get back to normal, there will be discounts on new Corvettes to move them off the lots like every generation before that we can remember. Also if you think that a mass produced Chevrolet is magically going to be worth a bunch of money over MSRP forever then lol you were dreaming. The values of these will drop like they always have

Many on here back in the day made fun of those of us buying a new C7 ZR1 and paying sticker or more. They bragged that in a year or less they'd buy one at a huge discount; we all know how that worked out for them.

Hahahahaha, there will be discounts on the ZO6 and the ZR1 when Ferrari starts discounting…. NO corvettes have ever offered this type of value, worldwide acclaim, mid engine performance and a bargain basement price compared to the competition. Discounts When PIGS fly maybe.

I bought a new C5 Z06 at a 20% discount, a C6 Z06 at around 5K below MSRP, and a C7 Z06 in early 2016 with a $9,000 price reduction from sticker.
There were scores of guys at the introduction of each of these Z06 generations who claimed that there would never, ever, be discounting on any of these.
That would be wrong, wrong, and wrong.
There are a ton of guys on these dealer lists that will never actually take ownership of a C8 Z06. The number of people interested in this car is wildly different than the number who are both willing and capable of actually purchasing. Same situation that existed with each of the 3 previous generations that never became the to be all end all Corvette as many of the anxious at the respective times so vociferously predicted.

By the end of 2023 mortgage rates will be 12% and the stock market down another 20-30%....and with rising unemployment.
That is what happens with very high inflation and our leaders still trying to spend more......so rates are going to keep climbing and ultimately tanking the economy with it.

but it's not magically happening in next 8 months
you do realize market is still over msrp for BASE correct?
and if you think any z06 will be SOLD well under msrp for the next 2-3 years that's just not happening
book it!

We recovered with the V shape recovery under Trump but we are now in a full on decline with many portfolios down 40-50% and dropping.

3 years later on a mass produced Chevy, plus lots of other new toys will have come out between now & then. They will be below MSRP as always.
Book it!

Base market has cooled a lot & will only cool more. None of us know how long this will take or when we'll get back to "normal" Could be in 8 months, could be in 2 years. We do know it will happen.

Sometimes it’s hard to predict (like the C7 ZR1) and other times it feels blatantly obvious, like with the C8 Z06. We’ll soon have 2024 C8s for sale on this site before long from people asking over MSRP. That’s FIVE model years of a generation sold above MSRP private sale. In what world have we ever lived in that has had this with a previous Corvette generation?
Now we have the extremely limited Z06 with 500+\- models for the 2023 year just to say they got them out for 23. How many will they make in 24? Who knows, plant is shutting down due to parts shortages. Probably more shutdowns happening in the future. Every other page on Chevy’s Corvette configurator website have asterisks next to them for “parts may be unavailable” script.
It’s the perfect storm: long awaited mid engine Corvette, special engine, long awaited Z variant, limited parts. If the Z06 is “rotting” on dealer’s lots in two years because they can’t give them away as I’ve seen posted on here, I will enjoy my slice of humble pie.
As of now, I just don’t see how in two years time dealers are going to be begging people to buy them. Sounds more like a coping mechanism to being 3-5 years out from getting one close to MSRP. Guess we’ll see.

Not saying that a major recession won’t impact Z06 pricing, but also keep in mind that the C8 has many new people interested in Corvettes who previously would have never even considered a Corvette (except a collector’s classic). In the 20 yrs I have belonged to my country club here in Silicon Valley I never saw a modern corvette parked in the lot. That changed with the C8. I was the first to get one at my club and the day I drove it in 2 members offered me $125k to buy it. That was over 2 yrs ago. I know at least 5 guys at my club who want the Z06. None of them are going to be affected by a recession to the point they won’t be willing to pay a $25k markup for early access.
