Default Break In Questions

I'm picking up my Z06 at the museum in a few days and driving over 1000 miles back home. I will use only manual mode so that I can change gears and RPMs frequently. (Actually very frequently, I'm ****) What drive mode is best? Can I set the exhaust to track so I can really hear it?

I left mine in auto and just dropped a gear or two every few minutes and let it upshift auto again.

The track exhaust drones at certain rpm. It gets annoying. You'll figure it all out as you go. Everything will be fine.

Congrats get home safe!

Thx. I like that idea of AUTO with manual downshift

You just need to vary RPM's which can be done in auto. If you need more than hit the manual every now and them Driving 1,000 mile in manual will be tiring and not necessary.

Just pick a navigation route that has you avoiding highways for the first several hundred miles or so. Easy peasy.

Everything is completely by choice and nothing is limited. I have no idea how people don't go above 6,500 rpm.
I thought GM would program it like my old M3, the car would not go above a certain RPM until warm or past break-in.
