I am definitely into this! I haven't been to the track since the spring, as I tend to avoid it in the hot summer. But once September/October/November hits, I usually go to the track at least once every 3-4 weeks. I think it would be awesome if we could get 20-30 Corvettes from here to show up at TMP (AKA Cayuga) this fall!
If I can make it work with my schedule I'm in for sure Fred.
I guess you have forgiven Cayuga since our spring visit.
I wouldn't want to be there today, too damn hot.
Why don't we pick a date like the 3rd or 4th week of September. Shall we go to Cayuga or Grand Bend which about a hour longer drive. I went to Cayuga last Friday and the track sucked, no sticky stuff and the traction was not very good at all. I was 1/2 a second slower. The track is prepped better on Saturday. Lets set a date and that way we can find out who really is interested in going.

The track always sucks on Friday nights, it's never prepped at all. Saturdays and Sundays the prep is much better. Grand Bend is definitely the better track, but it's also a heck of a lot further for most people. For me, coming from Mississauga, it takes close to 3 hours to get to Grand Bend (I've made it home from there in 2 1/2 but I was doing 180km/h for a good portion of the trip too!) but only 70min to get to Cayuga.
How about one of the last weekends in September or the beginning of October? That way we have a much better shot of getting some nice 10-15C weather for running better times.
The corvette nationals is at cayuga on the second weekend of oct, we got pushed back from sept because one of their special events was rained out. Track will be fast and temp will be cool making big hp.
