Hey Pierre

Sounds like you need to get a good cold air intake, like a Vararam or Callaway Honker, to go along with the headers to get the sound and performance gains that you are looking for.

Lucky you are going to Carlisle, great place for deals and info. Good luck.

I do wish to mod and tune my car, but to meet my expectations. Like I said earlier, I am interested in better response. That does not need to mean sick RWHP and RWT. I am not trying to build a "Ferrari/Porsche/BMW killer" although the stock vehicle I am sure can already accomplish plenty of that.

Thank you for offering advice.
No problem Pierre, not everyone wants to set the world on fire-and believe me you get to a point and say man "why did i go this far".

For just some good boltons that will NOT affect driveabiltiy in anyway-I would get a good cold air intake-the Vortex from BPP always come to mind for me as it works very good and priced reasonably well. Basically any intake that draws fresh air outside of the engine compartment. Next an underdrive pulley-it slows down your accesorries and the drag they create on the engine-only downfall is the steering rack must be removed so it's mostly done when a cam install is taking place-they do give nice boost of around 5-10 rwhp/tq. Next is headers-the long runner headers such as the LG's do give the best torque gains-but any stainless header that is from a reputable maker will do-it's too easy to start "which is the best here" . Last would be a 160 stat-most people have this notion they will make the car burn more fuel and hurt cylinder walls from fuel wash-not true at all. The 160 stat with the proper fan settings will amke the car run around 185 degrees-that's 40 degrees cooler than stock. This goes along way to reducing heat soak in an all aluminum engine and keeping underhood temps down. With these mods only it will give you a nice boost in power-you should be around 390 rwhp-with STOCK LIKE driveability. Just look at Ian's(JASTAKARR) ride-380 + and the car still runs like stock.

I'll try to put together something that goes even further than this-some info on cams and even FI-most important thing to do is sit down and have a goal-this way you can mod carefully and buy the right parts the first time-not like me-I got carried away!
