Are there any issues registering a C3 with sidepipes in ontario? I've got an 81 and i believe it is exempt from emissions testing, but i have heard of some difficulties registering a car with sidepipes in the states.
Even though a car is exempt from having the emissions test done, it still is required by law to have the emission installed for that specific year in Ontario, that may also be the case in the US. Bruce posted the actual code sometime ago.
Nop no problem registering and you're right you don't need to do an emissions test. BUT you could get ticketed for removing emissions equipment (cats) under the EPA. I believe there are only a handful of officers who are qualified to issue such a fine and I have never had a problem with my sidepipes. I've talked to other owners and they too have not had any issues.

I didn't reply to the registration part Alex, since he specifically said "in the states", is your answer specific to all parts of the US, since I know California has very strict laws.
Ok, I see the Ontario part, thanks Alex.
