Reading through this thread I've seen the following tires either mentioned or recommended and I hope I didn't miss anyone:

Bridgestone RE-11's
Toyo Proexes T1R's
Goodyear F1 Supercar RF's
Michelin PS2
Michelin PS2 ZP
Hankook Ventus V12 evo K110
Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sport
BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW 2
Goodyear F1 GS-D3
General Exclaim UHP
Nitto Invo
Continnental Sport Contact 3

Wooooow, with all those choices I guess it's hard to decide. Maybe this should be made into a poll of the top 3.

Hey Mick, what are you really looking for? something that will wear a long time? cool tread design? Low Noise? Grip? Stock sizes? Cost? If you pick the 2 most important criteria of those 6 items you'll be able to narrow your choice down pretty easy.

If you do decide to order something from Tirerack, message me.

Mick, check sizing availability for matching front and rears.

You will see your list will shrink as quite of few tires on that list don't come in the sizes that you need.

Steve,
I'm looking for something that will wear long, but give me decent traction as well. I don't mind going up a size for the tires, but I don't want to go down in size. A good tread design would be nice but it won't be a dealbreaker for me. I read good reviews on the toyo t1r's and would strongly consider them if I can find a good price.

Right now I'm leaning toward the bridgestone RE760's because it seems they have good treadwear and decent performance plus the price is very reasonable. I can get them to my door for under 1000.... But there's somebody who's trying to convince me to fork out the extra cash and get ps2's lol

Mick, I'm not trying to convince you to purchase the PS 2's. The tires were recommended by a fellow member as well Ron Fellows who recommended PS 2's ZP during a phone converstion a friend made on my behalf.

z060-0, I can't find these tires on TireRack?
What size are you looking for? The Toyo brand is our top selling brand. If I dont have it in stock I usually can get it in a few days direct from Toyo.

If you do infact ship to Canada, I'm looking for the T1R's in a 265/40ZR17 for the fronts and 295/35ZR18 for the rear.

Let me know!

If traction is still there at 15,000 miles, then heat cycling does not appear to be an issue.

BTW, I have KDW2's on C6 and they are NOISY!!!

As much as I would love to ship to you, our system will not allow us. We do however ship to all the border states. Give me a call tomorrow during our business hours and lets see if we can come up with a solution.

Ron and I spent sometime talking about the Michelin PS2 ZP's after he finished testing down in the US ... he loves them, and had them put on his personal Z's!

Mick, you know your Dad and I have spoken a bit and to share with the group this car will be your daily summer driver so maximum performance is likely not at the top of the list for you since the better stickier performing tires will have a faster wear rating typically. This will not be a track car so ideally you need a well balanced tire that is sticky but also safe in the rain and provide some longevity so you are not replacing tires every 1-2 years or annually like me after only 3-4K a season Maybe I am being a kill joy but also suggested a RF tire to provide an element of saftey to be able to get you home etc or out to a shop to repair the car in the event of a flat. Many of us are fortunate that we have a back up car so if the vette does go down we can afford to wait for a tire that needs to be ordered if necessary. this is also why I mentioned be concious of a tire that has decent availability. Lots of good suggestions and at the end of the day do your shopping and if the pricing is out of whack here in Canada relative to the U.S then have them shipped to CBI and we can go and pick them up for you. Cheers buddy.

I'd buy the Toyos again without hesitation. I put them on the car just after I bought it. They have great grip, smooth ride, and I've put 35K on them so far with lots of tread left.

You sure they still have lots of tread? Have you look at them in the past week?

daily driver, flat tire and flat bed, look for replacement.RF tires are a good choice,I would hate to blow a tire in the middle of BFNW,the flat bed where I drive would be easily the cost of the tire.

I agree with Mike and your dad. Go with Run Flats.

For the price I like Firestone / BF Goodrich.

From what I can see they don't make the PS2 zp in c5 Z06 prices... So I guess that is out of the question.

I don't see much selection for runflats.. So far the toyos are looking good for me but I would still prefer to have a runflat just incase.

So I think it has come down to 2 tires. The bridgestone re760s or the toyo t1r's.

After hearing from a couple people I have decided I will make a little kit to keep in the vette that has everything I need to repair a flat on the side of the road.

I want the T1Rs but I can't find anyone that has the fronts in stock or can get them any time soon.

Basically I can get the toyos with 255 fronts(1 size smaller) or the bridgestones in oem sizing.

What do you guys think?
