Mounting Princess Auto's Hose Reel

Last December I bought the Princess Auto Air Hose Reel when it was on sale.
Now I want to mount it. Peter have one idea but looking for others.

The centre mounting hole does not leave very much room.

Does/Can the mounting bracket be removed from the case to make mounting easier?

Assuming you want to mount it on a wall, why not mount on an appropriate size piece of 3/4" plywood first and then mount the plywood where it will catch studs on each side. another Peter

I did exactly as Peter mentioned, then painted it to match the ceiling and mounted in over head. Ran the air line from compressor above using conduit clips to hold it in place.
