sure greg, you just wanted to get the "first thread honors"
OK, I'll play. After leaving your place, I plan to get to Wasaga sometime that afternoon / evening. :D
I'll be at the bonfire a little later, hopefully before dark.

Re: Wasaga weekend (75Rag)
I'm either leaving from downtown early (like 10am) or leaving from Ajax later on, all depends on whether I can rearrange some committments so I can get the day off! Hope to be in Wasaga by noon!! Have to get beer!!

for anyone wishing to join the "western" group heading to Wasaga, the meeting times / places are; 1) my place in waterdown at 12:30 2) 401 / winston churchill (loc. TBA) at 2:00. 3) gdh's place in Orangeville at 3:00.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
OK, for those caravaning up to Wasaga together, we are meeting at my place about 12:30. If time permits, we'll leave about 1:15 and take the scenic tour over to Winston Churchill and Eglinton (Mcdonalds Parking Lot, North East Corner) arriving at 2:00. We'll meet up with Cyndi 76, Pyjamasam and 1bad69, then continue up Winston Churchill, through Bellefountain and Forks of the Credit, ending up at gdh's place in Orangeville for around 3:00 or so...
if anyone else wants to join in, let us know so we don't leave without you!!
my cell is in my bio...

Re: Wasaga weekend (75Rag)
Hope people will check this site before tomorrow.
For those camping with usjust in case you forget....there is a shower available but please bring your own towels as I'm sure most would anyway.
Also, if you have a car blanket you may want to bring it as the lot is heavily treed, I'm not sure what kind of trees, wouldn't want any sap or anything getting into people's paint.

Re: Wasaga weekend (68shark)
Doug, did you see the post about how to get to my uncle's place?....Uh oh, the poser has gone out here in Bradford, and my wife called me and said its out in Ajax as well. The only reason I am still online is that I'm using my laptop, and my wireless access point runs off of my UPS, otherwise...I wouldn't be here.

Re: Wasaga weekend (1bad69)
I'm going to start my vacation early and take the day off today, go out to 75Rag's and join the caravan for part of the way north, though sadly I can't make it to Wasaga this time.
Wow, it's easy to dominate this section of the Forum. I'm tempted to post into Greg's New Hamburg thread just to be last poster in all the current threads. Nah, ... that would be stupid.

Re: Wasaga weekend (1bad69)
Did you guys know that "Big Sugar" is playin at the DARD in Wasaga tonight?
$25.00 ... anyone going?
BTW, I've not yet been successful in contacting anyone in Wasaga ..... does anyone know if they have power? Tough to feed 100's of vettes with fuel if there isn't any power ......
I'll be waiting for "power confirmation" prior to leaving.

Re: Wasaga weekend (75Rag)
as of 10:10a.m. Wasaga Beach DOES NOT have power.
no power = no gas, food, etc
there are 12 car line ups for gas in the surrounding areas. Dundalk has power.
If you are heading up, take food coolers and ice and you'll have lots of friends.

Re: Wasaga weekend (75Rag)
At least I have power, beer still cold, pool still nice, arbour finally stained, just drove around town, reminds me of 1970's with the gas shortages, lineups at every station. The kids and I were up to 3 am with a mini bon fire and enjoying the quiet, no a/c's on to make noise and went for a couple of walks.
Dwayne and Cyndi called and they are heading over here soon, also restauants are open as well = time to take kids out for breakfast.

Re: Wasaga weekend (gdh)
Dwayne, Cyndi & Tom, thank-you for the hospitality - best ever. Although the were less than half of the vettes this year, it was still great. Steve & Mike glad I found you 2 before you got lost looking for that toothless teacher. Flav, Nadia great to bump into you and yes your daughter is beautiful. Mike & Sue-Anne great as always, but S-A needs more chips. I toll alot of pics but only of red vettes, figured the rest of you would have ppl shots. I needed a frame of reference fo my paint job this winter. Saw some nice ones and a great paint scheme but may stick with Ferrari/Lambo red with the hood blackput and tail blackout that this vette has been running since it was last repainted in '85. From now on Dwayne & Cyndi will be our "Toronto Oddlot" co-ordinators for cruises and down right fun - you've done it 2 weekends in a row, quit that club that you are both so enamoured with  and focus on getting us altogether for the Sept 14 Corvettes for Kids Charity Run. :grouphug:
