Default Clean Windshield?

Has anyone noticed the C6 windshield one, is hard as heck to clean like all other vettes and two, gets dirtier faster? Anyway, does anyone have a magic formula to actually clean the interior of a windshield with no streaks?

Rain-X in the clear/blue bottle AND black and white newspaper.

Make sure to use a few pages of the newspaper for wet wiping and a few others for dry wiping. Crumble the newspaper pages into a loose ball.

Laugh all you want, but I bet there are some good old school detailers out here that knows that this works.

NOTE: Do not use the Rain-X in the yellow bottle. Even though labeled the same, they are not the same stuff. There was an old glass cleaner back in the day that Rain-X bought and rebranded. Its in a clear/blue labeled bottle.

My father taught me the newspaper trick back in the 50's. I have used newspaper ever since. I read an article about preparing your car for show and the author used newspaper also.

Don't recall what it is called, however, found it at Kragens. Two cloths...one green and the other is blue, come as a set for cleaning windows. You wet one, rub window, then dry with other. Unbelieveable results. Able to even clean tight area at bottom inside of windshield completely and not put rub marks on top of dash....After washing or detailing Vette I use to pay local carwash just to clean the inside windshield area. They haven't seen me in 6 months !

I agree on stoners great stuff and I use a gizmo I got from autogeeks it has a applicator and buffer on a handle so you can get down to the bottom of the windshield easily.

I found something even better than Stoners, GM window cleaner, yes the stuff from the dealer. It even smells great, like a new car. Far less streaking than stoners.

I've found that a wet microfiber cloth followed by a dry microfiber cloth leaves a streak-free shine as good as any glass cleaner. Just make sure to use clean cloths and a little elbow grease on dirty areas.

I got one of these little jewels:

Glass Master Pro. Makes doing the inside windshield on the C6 a whole lot easier.
