Default Basic Cleaning Questions Need Help

Cleaned my 06 Black CV for first time today. I purchased the full Zaino kit but today just decided to wash it before I do the whole waxing and claying.

Here's my questions I came across:

1)If you just washed your car with Z7 but have never waxed it before with a Zaino product can you still go over it with the Z6?

2)Think I used too much soap. Only used 3 cupfulls but found my second bucket to fill up with suds real quick. Is it too much soap or do you constantly clean out the second bucket getting rid of the suds?

3)Do you use the Z7 with suds on the cv part also? I did so hopefully it's okay.

Took over an hour so not looking forward to doing the whole dawn, clay, wash, wax ordeal.

Thanks for all your help.

Yes you can use it as a quick detailer

I hope you mean capfulls and not cupfulls, 3 capfulls is good. The more suds the better lifting power.

3)Do you use the Z7 with suds on the cv part also? I did so hopefully it's okay.

It's ok

Do it, you will love it. Get a few ice cold beers, turn on the tunes and have fun

Thanks for all your help.

Peace

Thanks for the reply. Yes, my bad capfulls.

Time to throw some Z6 on her.

Is it okay to do the dawn, clay, wash, 3 coats of zaino in two day period? Car would be left in the garage. Thinking I'd do the dawn, clay, and wash one day and wax coats next day.

Thanks

Yup,

Just wipe it down with the z06 before you start the zaino the next day.

3 coats max in a day.

Start by misting your applicator with Z06. The biggest trick to Zaino is applying the coats very very very thin. You will not need more than an 1 1/2 oz to do all three coats...some would even say less...

Good luck

good advice above. 2 ounces will definitely cover the car 3 times EASY. I spray the cotton sponge with two sprays of Z6 before starting. I f you can't see the places where you've already applied your Zaino, you're doing it right.

I am at the same place as FSU Fan with my new 2006 Red convertible. It seems that you guys are recommending claying even a new Vette before putting on any wax ... isn't that overkill? ..guess I could try the ziplock bag test to see
