Default PC setting - ???

i've been using my PC at the 3.5 setting, and it seems to take forever for results . i'm using meguirers yellow pad with fine cut cleaner to remove swirls. i see some of the forum members are using an orange pad with settings at 5 to 6. questions: is my PC setting too low or slow? should i be using a more agressive pad and or more agressive cleaner/polish? comments, comments, comments... TIA

5.5 with Z Fusion and orange pad got me great results on black paint, if I would go over the car again with a white pad, it might be perfect (except for the 12 years of chips).

Bump it up to 5.5 or 6 for your SSR's and keep it at 3.5 for applying any LSP's like wax.

SSR = swirl scratch remover

LSP = last step product/protectant

Sorry, Zane is correct. I assume everybody is a detail junkie like me. And get lazy typing.

Although I would personally add the wax/sealant of your choice by hand as possible as well as remove. You will waste to much product while applying and most wax/sealants are darn easy to remove these days.

Make sure you are working the polish fully and switch to a finer pad and/or polish combination.
