Default Meguiars Three Step Process (Pics)

Well being that it was an absolute beautiful day here in the Pacific Northwest...I decided to wash and detail the Vette. I decided to try the Meguiars Three Step system and I am pretty impressed with the results. Deep Gloss and it gave me that "Wet" look that we all like so much.

Here are some pics:

Now that is a very clean looking vette. Notice the tires? That is what I think is the perfect tire shine, not too flashy, just right. Good job.

Yeah I hate the "Too Shiney Look" on tires. The product that I use on my tires is No Touch Tire Care. Your supposed to just spray it on and leave it but after I spray it on, I wipe it off and that gives me the look that I am after.

This is the first time I have ever used Meguiars and I must say, I am really impressed with this product. I think I'll stick to it.

Okies beat me to it.
What sets the men apart from the boys is the tires and wheels.
Yours look PERFECT.
So - how about some details? which Megs products did you use - any specific applicators? any abrasive polishes used?

I have the products right here.

1. Washed with Mequiars Deep Crystal Car Wash
2. Dryed the car with a towel and a leaf blower
3. Used Step one which is Meguiars Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner
4. Polished with Meguiars Deep Crystal Polish
5. Waxed with Meguiars Cleaner Wax
6. Buffed the car with a buffer (I'll never ever do it by hand again)
7. Cleaned the Windows with vinegar and water and used newspaper (It has never failed me)
8. Sprayed the tires with No Touch Tire Care and promptly removed the product with a towel. (The directions say to spray and leave on, Dont do it if you want a clean look )

Thats it. To be honest with you, I have tried other brands which I will not mention (I do not appreciate being flamed) but I have to say this is the best stuff I have ever worked with. And I have tried them all, including the stuff you buy from the net. I was just stunned at the result I had when I bought "Over the Counter" if you will.

Why Meguiars? Because a friend of mine owns a car detailing business and he told me this is what I need to use and I trust him.

Nice -- thanks for posting.
I love the cleaner wax. But even a big step above that is the #26 carnauba. Good stuff - you just have to be careful not to get it on your window trim.

Great pics !

just goes to show that its all in the prep work. I used to use meguirs stuff, but then i fell in love with zaino. I just had to apply it too often to keep it looking good. Cant go wrong with meguirs for shine though. Car does look great.

Great job!!

What pad/bonnet did you use to remove the wax? I did my 71 recently and applied Meguiars #26 with the PC. It took only about 1/2 hour to apply but by the time I got it all off, it was getting somewhat difficult to remove by hand with a MF towel. I think next time, I will try to buff it off withthe PC but am not sure what to use. I was thinking either a MF bonnet or Terry Bonnet. Can I use just a grey/black pad without a bonnet over it?

Your car looks amazing. Nice job.
Meguiar's is great stuff. I helped my friend detail his T/A and all he had was Meguiar's products. His car came out looking great. I have some Meguiar's products myself. I don't use it very often, but it's nice to have it around, and they don't go bad. I have steps 1 and 3 plus #26 and #9
