Unfortunatly, (while I cannot agrue with how your Vette looks) I think you would have gotten much better results using anything other then cleaner wax...
The Deep Crystal series was designed for specific steps. Step One is a chemical cleaner that that removes old wax. Step Two is a pure polish which just mostiuries the paint and creates a gloss, and Step three is a pure (or mostly pure) Carnuba wax meant to enchance and seal in the gloss of step two.
The Cleaner Wax uses chemical cleaners and wax (with a small amount of polishing oil). The cleaners in Cleaner/Wax will remove most of the polish from step 2 and replace them with lower quality ones (if any). A pure wax such as NXT, DC3, would have locked in the the progress you made in step 2.
Instead of Cleaner/Wax (which is a 3 in 1) you might like Meguiar's ColorX, which does a better job of step 1 and step 2 (maybe even better then doing them seperatly) and also has fillers that hide swirl marks.

Very cool, I'll make the change next time I detail. Thanks!

The cleaner wax is meant for your initial application to prep for step 2.
