I have been tryong in vain with the ASR and orange pad on 5 to remove it....any ideas?

Don't be afraid of 6 on the PC. I use it all the time.
Hard to tell from the pic, Can you catch a finger nail on the scratch?
Usually a scratch that is quite visible on a pic, is usually (not always) to deep for repair. I would hit it with the orange pad, some ASR, work on highest setting for several minutes. You may not be able to remove completely, but lessen it. The Natty Blue might also help to hide it as it contains some light fillers.
you could, but it you want to blend the scratch into the panel to make less noticable, I highly suggest moving in different patterns. It will lessen the edges of the scratch, which is what makes it so easily distiquishable.

That's really good advice.
and yes, you could leave the PC sit for a long time without doing any damage. As Killrwheels said, the PC really does NOT wear down your clearcoat (as a rotary does) so I dont' think if you left it on the paint for a week you would actually expose the primer nor body of the car. That's just because you really don't get any heat buildup with a PC, the way you do with a rotary.
A rotary machine would make very short work of this.
without a rotary, leave your PC on 6, and use Menzerna INtensive polish -- might even want to try Menzerna POwer Gloss - but if you move to a very aggressive product like that, be prepared to step down to a white pad a a finer polish afterward, to remove the hazing.
Ok...I got that one out but as I was waxing the ride...I found a couple more...now the question is..do I stop waxing and hit them with the orange pad and ASR or do I say it is a DD and I will get them next time??

thats a personal question. Most avid details would stop, and go back to polishing. Hiding is temporary, removing is permanent.
Well 2 days later I can honestly say I suck at detailing. Looks like I know what I am doing next weekend!!! Either my car had a lot of small scratches or I did a number on my car with the clay. Is there something better to get out the long (not deep) scratches than Pinnacle ASR?
